Player Profile: Jennifer Harman


Jennifer Harman has been playing poker since she was eight years old at her fathers games in their home. She states that when he was losing, he would have her play in his place and she would actually win his money back. Harman is petite at 52 tall weighing around 100 pounds. She is in her early twenties
and looks younger than her age which causes her opponents to underestimate her poker playing skills and try to bluff her. Her youthful appearance is an advantage as she is then able to surprise them with her experience and ability. Jennifer has been a professional in the world of poker for over ten years. When she first started to play, she went broke because she played in games that were too large for her bankroll. However, she was able to learn from her mistakes, borrowed some money from a friend and was able to get back in the game. Harman was unable to play in the 2004 World Series of Poker due to kidney disease. She was fortunate to have a niece who was willing to donate one of her kidneys to her and she is now in good health. Jennifer appreciates this gift and would like to make the public aware of the option of being an organ donor by holding a charity event, the Jen Harmon Challenge, to donate money for public education in this area.
