The fact of the matter is that online dating is all
about being able to market yourself to the opposite
sex. In that respect its very much like a business.
In business the company goes out in search of
customers who would have an interest in their product
or service. Theyd do this by advertising in places
where prospective customers would see their
advertising.
For example:
If a company made golf clubs it would be ridiculous
for them to advertise in a fishing magazine. Why
Because the advert wouldnt get seen by their target
market which is Golfers, not fisherman.
Too many online daters are making a similar mistake.
Theyre not thinking about their interests and hobbies
properly. Ive been in marketing for a few years now.

their business to the right audience I use the

In other words people living in a townhouse wont need
a lawnmower, and therefore, don't want to buy a
lawnmower.
In the same respect your advertising must be designed
to sell yourself to those with a similar interest in
your hobbies. Think of yourself as the business, and
your hobbies as products that you will be selling with
your business.

misrepresent themselves in the profiles that they
create.
